Terms
What you get when you use BandPeer or buy a license, and what we ask in return.
Last updated 28 September 2026. These terms are between you and BandPeer.com ("we"), who make and sell BandPeer. Questions go to bandpeersupport@gmail.com.
By downloading BandPeer, starting a trial or buying a license, you agree to these terms, to the privacy policy and to the refunds and cancelling policy. If you're agreeing for a school, orchestra or other organisation, you're confirming you're allowed to.
1. What a license gives you
- A personal license lets one person use BandPeer, on one machine at a time. Using its code on another machine moves it there.
- A band license switches on a band's shared features - chat, calls and shared material - for up to 10 members, and includes the band owner's own personal license. Everyone else in the band needs their own.
- A classroom or orchestra license does the same for up to 50 members, and includes the personal licenses of the teacher or conductor and one assistant they choose.
- A free trial is a personal or band license for 7 days. Each install can have one of each.
A license is a right to use the software, not a sale of it. BandPeer stays ours, and you may not resell, rent out or sublicense it.
2. Paying
Licenses are subscriptions through PayPal, paid monthly or yearly at the prices on the pricing page when you buy. They renew automatically until you cancel - see refunds and cancelling. A license keeps working for the period that's been paid for, and renews itself in the app while payments continue.
For now, licenses are sold only to buyers in the United States, judged by the address on your PayPal account. A purchase from an address anywhere else is cancelled and refunded in full rather than licensed. Any sales tax due is included in the price you see.
If we change a price, it applies from your next renewal after we've emailed you about it, and you can cancel before then.
3. Your music stays yours
Everything you put into BandPeer - songs, charts, recordings, setlists, messages - belongs to you, or to whoever you got it from. It stays on your machines and your bandmates' machines; we don't receive it, store it or claim any rights over it. You're responsible for having the right to share what you share with your band.
4. Fair use
Please don't:
- try to get around the licensing - forging or altering licenses, sharing one personal license between people, or farming trials;
- attack, overload or try to break into the license service, the website, or other people's copies of BandPeer;
- use BandPeer to share anything illegal, or anything you don't have the right to share.
If someone does, we may stop renewing their licenses and close their account. Where it's not a clear abuse, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to sort it out.
5. Keeping a copy of your work
BandPeer keeps everything on your own machine, which also means you're the one who backs it up. Settings › Data exports your library and calendar at any time, licensed or not. We can't recover anything lost on your machine, because we never had it.
6. If something goes wrong
We work hard to make BandPeer reliable, and we'll fix what we can when you tell us about a problem. But it's provided "as is": to the extent the law allows, we don't promise it will always be available, work on every machine or network, or be free of faults, and we're not liable for indirect losses such as lost work, lost gigs or lost profits.
Where the law allows a limit, our total liability to you is limited to what you've paid us in the 12 months before the problem. Nothing in these terms limits anything the law says can't be limited - such as your rights as a consumer where you live.
7. Ending
You can stop using BandPeer and cancel your license at any time. If we ever stop selling BandPeer, licenses already paid for will keep working until the end of their paid period, and we'll tell you by email first.
8. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and email account holders before the change takes effect. Carrying on using BandPeer after that means you accept the new terms; if you don't, you can cancel.
9. The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of the United States of America, and any dispute goes to its courts - unless the law where you live gives you the right to use your own courts, in which case you still can.
